SEAHORSE

The very word conjures up thoughts of fragile, delicate, mystical creatures flitting about beautiful undersea gardens. Well, delicate critters they may be, but in Ambon's harbor, much like those I have found here in Cayman or in other locations, their choice of surroundings and habitat leaves much to be desired. They appear to enjoy choosing the ugliest piece of coral rubble or human trash to coil their lovely tails around. Perhaps it's intentional, so as not to be outdone  in their own beauty, or perhaps just making their discovery a bit more difficult  for divers, like-minded as myself, who think they belong elsewhere.
