Image © Wendy Filener TASSLED SCORPIONFISH This tassled scorpionfish was sitting in the middle of a big trash pile. I had parked on a rock for a bit of time, trying to photograph two mandarinfish with ADD. He was there the whole time but I didn't spot him until one of the mandarins zinged right over him and I saw his eyeball move. Talk about camouflage! We saw several of these throughout the week, and I was always amazed how they could be so well hidden, right in plain sight. |
