Main Guardhouse and Watchtower

The guardhouse, offices of the commandant, and watch tower. After the indignities described in the previous shot, prisoners in their striped uniforms would be marched through this gate into the actual camp. Most never made it out alive. Some able-bodied prisoners were contracted out as labourers to local businesses in and around the town of Oranienburg, and so they would have passed through this gate daily.
